A PPSD Archive of Noise Estimates for Güralp CMG-6T/6TD and CMG-40T Seismometers from Open FDSN Data
Brief Description: The archive contains PPSD estimates of the instrument self-noise and ambient seismic noise of Güralp CMG-6T/6TD and CMG-40T seismometers, computed from openly available FDSN data using the ObsPy library. Vertical-component records from the period between 1 January 2023 and 1 January 2024 were analyzed. The final dataset includes 98 stations equipped with 30-s sensors and 21 stations equipped with 60-s sensors. In addition, 10 stations were identified where, during the considered time interval, a Güralp sensor was replaced by a broadband sensor from another manufacturer. For these cases, PPSDs of the vertical components were computed for one-year data intervals before and after the replacement.
