CSV event catalogue output

The CSV output for the event catalogue search is a one line per event output. Click here to load an example.

Each line has a minimum of 11 fields, which are preformatted and comma separated. Each field is in one of 3 groups:

EVENT, ORIGIN, MAGNITUDES

The fields within the MAGNITUDES group are repeated for each magnitude that is returned for an event.


Group Title Position Description
EVENT EVENTID 1-9 Unique id number specific to each ISC event.
EVENT TYPE 11-12 Event type.
ORIGIN AUTHOR 16-24 Author of the prime (preferred) orgin.
ORIGIN DATE 26-35 Prime origin date.
ORIGIN TIME 37-47 Prime origin time.
ORIGIN LAT 49-56 Prime origin latitude.
ORIGIN LON 58-66 Prime origin longitude.
ORIGIN DEPTH 68-72 Prime origin depth.
ORIGIN DEPFIX 74-79 Flag set to true if the depth has been fixed in the prime origin.
MAGNITUDES AUTHOR 81-89 Magnitude author.
MAGNITUDES TYPE 91-96 Magnitude type (e.g. MW, mb, MS, etc.)
MAGNITUDES MAG 98-101 Magnitude value.

uk = unknown
de = damaging earthquake ( Not standard IMS )
fe = felt earthquake ( Not standard IMS )
ke = known earthquake
se = suspected earthquake
kr = known rockburst
sr = suspected rockburst
ki = known induced event
si = suspected induced event
km = known mine explosion
sm = suspected mine explosion
kh = known chemical explosion ( Not standard IMS )
sh = suspected chemical explosion ( Not standard IMS )
kx = known experimental explosion
sx = suspected experimental explosion
kn = known nuclear explosion
sn = suspected nuclear explosion
ls = landslide
