Seismic Stations in the ISC Bulletin
The ISC Bulletin contains arrivals from ~32,000 stations, these are part of the International Seismograph Station Registry (FDSN network code IR) and data from stations registered as part of the Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN). |
The project to extend the use of stations beyond the IR and expand the level of detail of arrival data is detailed on the ISC ADSL project page |

Stations contributing to the ISC Bulletin

- IR indicates that a station can only be used in the ISC Bulletin as part of the International Registry (IR).
- ADSL means that a network code is required, there is no IR code equivalent.
- Both indicates that a station could be reported to the ISC as IR or with a network code, depending on the reporting agency.
Station File download
A combined IR and FDSN station list of those stations in the ISC Bulletin is available in station xml, text format, CSV and KMZ formats, these are downloadable using the links below.
Please note:
- That depth and elevation are compulsary in stationXML so have to be set to 0 when not known.
- The text file has data for Network, Station, Latitude, Longitude, Elevation, Channel, Location, Opendate, Closedate and Sitename.
- Open and close dates of IR stations are often not known or have been set based on data reporting.
- Please note that this includes only FDSN stations in the ISC Bulletin, it is not a comprehensive list.
Station search
The station book may be searched by station codes, or by defining a search region.
Station registration
Only new stations that you wish to be part of the IR (International Registry) can be registered at the ISC, registration page.
Otherwise please see the Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN) or other agency as appropriate.
Please note, this is the first version of the new station pages and changes are to be expected.
